"The Melt"

Jimena Favela

Throughout the past years, the use of carbon dioxide and various of other air pollutants such as nitrous oxide, hydrofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons, sulphur hexafluoride and methane have widely increased. Why does this matter? Global warming is the why, because of global warming the earth's temperatures are highly in rise, creating hotter heatwaves. In result...well before i say it, i am aware you have heard this phrase many times, but it is indeed true.. In result, our planet earth is in crisis. The habitats of animals such as coral reefs, the antarctic, forests, etc. are disrupting, increasing the number of extinction between both the animal and plant species. How can we as a society make a ripple in the pond? In simple words we as human beings have to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and begin to use more clean energy, take this advice from "Scientific American"- " whether a person can live in a climate-neutral manner is a question of lifestyle choices and making improvements over time. Start your climate neutral quest by calculating your energy usage."Overall Track and calculate your total use of "Climate-damaging emissions."

- Statement: I want to point out that every individual such as yourself can begin to use less of what is damaging the air. I will admit it takes time, personally to start such a change of lifestyle ,every single day use as much less of waste and damaging gases, as you possibly can. Coming from myself, even if i am not completely waste free yet, i like to for example use my bike to travel to near areas, such as work, shops, and even when heading out for some friend time, apart i also use reusable bottles when heading to workout, and i am working on completely cutting out plastic in my life. My point is, that trying is an action you for sure can do. Below i will link helpful articles in which have made an impact in my lifestyle, i would love for you to take a look, please do. As once i heard, " You are never to small to make an enormous difference!"
