It's fall again, who could have anticipated such a fast pace this year? In that case I am here to talk to you a bit about gaining new good habits to keep you productive or help you around work and on the side mention how you can stay fashionable as well as comfortable while working in the cold, so no matter whether you are in the artistic world, in an office, at school, etc. or in them all at once, this is the post for you.
1. On early mornings, always have a warm drink before you start the day
It can be tea, hot chocolate, not necessarily coffee, but what tends to boost your mood the most is what you need to have after you wake up, this method has increased energy for me especially throughout the week and it is proven through various of sites such as "The Guardian" quote "hot beverages are relied upon for waking up, punctuating workdays."
2. Instantly change out of your sleepwear
I can not possibly express how much this actually works any further, removing your comfortable clothes before you start the day will make you want to start your day, change into a stylish or simple outfit and get on moving, this advice applies even if you stay at home to work, maybe just one day you can have a day of sleepwear clothes and work but it's not recommended to do daily.
3. Music during your morning routine, or on your way to work
Any music, soundtrack, song or even background noise that motivates you everyday should be played out loud as you get ready or as you make your way to an early morning call, this will be the start to loving the mornings and becoming an early bird, which is difficult for half the time, yet this is a method in which I am currently surviving on.
4. Always take your personal bag to work, and an extra jacket
Taking an extra coat or jacket is an option but I once had an incident where the jacket I was wearing turned out to be too thin, and so the rest of my day consisted of freezing, therefore I advice you keep an extra in your car or take it with you. When it comes to taking your personal bag everywhere you go, I am sure a lot of you already do that, and if so you are a genius, it's simply because every single one of us are different and tend to carry what we know we need most in these purses/bags.
5. Have an agenda book and carryon notebook
Wherever you go, wherever you are, it is more than a great idea to have an agenda or notebook with you at all times, a planner to get you through each task, to writing down what you observe, plus the ideas you get throughout the day, you write them all down or if you have time off write a song, a poem, a story.
6. Organize your work space differently, change things up
This includes your tools, such as laptop screens and folders, maybe not your phone screen though, for me personally it is one thing I keep for the longest because it is my push of motivation when I need it, but the rest is a plus as it gives you the visualization as you expand your creativity and grow in your workspace, keeping you personally interacted .
7. If there is something you prefer not to do, find the good into doing it
It happens all the time in life, but if there is one lesson I learned is that it is an important part to learning how to get through anything, only will this improve your skills and open you up for when you get to doing what you love.
Now moving on to......
FASHION AND COMFORT !
1. The most important is to do you when it comes to clothes, especially during the fall/winter
It can be so easy to fall into clothes that is just convenient but doesn't best express you during the cold season. So stepping out of that bubble has always been my ultimate advice, at least try to more, do it your way or if inspired, in the end I'm not here to convince you to change your style and looks, the goal is to inspire you to make your own unique statement and decrease the times you ever have a wardrobe malfunction. (talking from experience)
2. Do pair up your outfit based on the setting
Plan your outfit the night before based on what you will be doing the next day, not only does this save you time, but does it make sure you can be best ready for the next day. My other point is for example you wouldn't want to take a rushed outfit like a strap dress to a cold, rainy setting, it won't be suitable.
3. Apply more attention on the colors, but not seriously
Don't be afraid to mix up colors that are different, but avoid mixing different patterns. If you like light colors, for example, white, peach, beige, add a pop up detail like red, royal blue, or black. On the other hand, if you can relate more to me and prefer colors a lot then just have the fun and do you, one of my favorite combinations are green with red, or a yellow gold with blue.
4. Do the extras when it comes to footwear
I use to be the girl who would wear the same pairs of sneakers and boots to stay at a comfortable position, but throughout the years I have turned into the woman who risks comfort at all times to express myself and have my outfit complete, still I wear the above, yet what I mean by saying "do the extras when it comes to footwear" is more so like wear the boots with the thick heels rather than the thin heel, try out new things, you never know what you can fall in love with this fall when it comes to footwear.
